My little Montana family

Who Am I?
As you may have gathered, my name is Josie and I live in Montana. I am a lucky transplant living in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley with my 3 children and husband. They are what led me to starting this site and launching my business. I am currently an ESL teacher, though I am also a certified Social Studies teacher. Moving to follow my husband’s career and having my three children has led me to pursuing other career avenues.
Throughout my life I have had a few great passions and they are a love of writing, a love of yoga, a love of traveling and a love of baking. Seven years ago when planning my oldest daughter’s first birthday cake I discovered a true love for beautiful, delicious cakes. And surprisingly, a desire to create them myself. Now, I want to share my cakes and everything I have learned with you.
Friends, I am here to tell you if you haven’t had a piece of heavenly and decadent cake, you aren’t living. I will stand by this belief until I die. Once you have a good piece of cake, there is no going back. And my motto in life: Just eat the cake.
In December 2019 I started Josephine’s Cakery but wanted to do more than just bake. This is how I wound up simultaneously starting a cake business and launching a lifestyle blog. In this blog you will find life stories, thoughtful opinion pieces and healthy lifestyle pieces. Additionally, you can peruse my cake albums and contact me to order your own custom cake or cupcakes.
